The National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) Receives WLA Responsible Gaming Certification

The National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) has achieved a notable milestone by obtaining the WLA Responsible Gaming Level 2 Certification. This accomplishment highlights LONACI’s dedication to promoting responsible gaming practices. During a formal ceremony at the Studio in Biétry, Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, LONACI’s Director General and President of the African Lotteries Association (ALA), was presented with the certificate by Mr. Hamdoune Dris, the ALA’s Permanent Secretary.

This certification affirms LONACI’s compliance with global standards aimed at reducing gambling-related risks and safeguarding players. It reflects the organization’s commitment to creating a secure and responsible gaming environment, adhering to the principles established by the World Lottery Association (WLA).

The ceremony also served as the launchpad for the WLA Responsible Gaming Level 3 certification process, which seeks to further enhance LONACI’s social responsibility initiatives and operational transparency.

The event was attended by prominent industry leaders, such as Mr. Mohamed Abdul Salam, Director General of the Ghana Lottery (NLA), members of LONACI’s executive committee, and the President of the Concessionaires’ Mutual Association. Their participation underscored the importance of this achievement for the African lottery industry.

This certification underscores LONACI’s continuous efforts to adopt responsible management practices in both physical and online gaming. It marks a significant step in elevating the company’s operational standards and reaffirms its adherence to rigorous industry regulations.
