Gambling Authority of Botswana Sets Strategic Vision for 2025-2026

The Gambling Authority of Botswana (GAB) has concluded its two-day annual corporate strategy meeting, paving the way for a crucial year in the nation’s gaming sector. Held at Bluetree in Gaborone on March 4-5, 2025, the event gathered the Authority’s executives and management to align on strategic directions and establish new objectives for the upcoming fiscal year 2025-2026.

On the first day, leadership engaged in discussions to evaluate the current strategy while reaffirming their commitment to regulatory oversight and responsible gambling practices, emphasizing a unified approach to realize the Authority’s long-term vision.

The second day centered on setting new goals and refining strategies for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, with a significant highlight being the Authority’s licensing update, which included the issuance of 16 licenses—10 for betting and 6 for Limited Payout Machines (LPMs).
