In an effort to promote responsible gaming practices and create safer gaming environments, particularly for young people, Gamble Alert has announced this year’s Responsible Gaming Symposium in partnership with the Association of Nigerian Bookmakers and Aropsaid Technologies Limited. The organizers aim to address the problem of gambling within this demographic while fostering meaningful discussions surrounding player safety and industry integrity.

The symposium, themed “Building a Sustainable Industry Through Responsible Gaming Practices,” is scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the NECA House Events Centre in Ikeja, Lagos. This groundbreaking event will bring together industry leaders, researchers, regulatory agencies, and mental health professionals to engage in discussions focused on promoting safety within the gaming industry and tackling relevant issues.

Attendees can expect a comprehensive agenda, featuring keynote speakers, plenary sessions, and interactive workshops, all designed to advance responsible gaming initiatives. The symposium will provide insights into the latest research, tools, and innovative strategies that empower gaming companies and stakeholders to prioritize player safety and well-being.

The organizers have successfully implemented various initiatives in the past, including financial literacy programs aimed at equipping individuals to make informed financial decisions. This year’s symposium will build on these initiatives, covering a range of topics such as responsible gaming for sustainability and integrity, as well as promoting compliance and sustainability within the industry.

The Responsible Gaming Symposium 2025, hosted by Gamble Alert in collaboration with the Association of Nigerian Bookmakers and Aropsaid Technologies Limited, promises a dynamic platform for thought leadership in responsible gambling. The event will facilitate discussions involving gaming regulators, policy-makers, gaming operators, treatment providers, and researchers, all dedicated to fostering a more responsible gaming landscape in Nigeria. With a strong commitment to ethical gaming practices, the organizers hope to make a lasting impact through this gathering. Additionally, they will highlight initiatives like the flagship “Across the Wave” program, which engages communities and industry stakeholders in discussions about best practices and responsible gaming policies.
