Martin Skopek, Austrian Lotteries Board Member, believes that Pragmatic Play’s award-winning live casino portfolio will offer even more immersive and entertaining gameplay for their customers.
Also, Pragmatic Play plans to hire up to 150 new full-time employees for their Vienna operations. This shows their long-term investment in the Austrian online gaming sector and will create new job opportunities in the local community.
Austria is one of only a few countries with a state monopoly on online casino gaming. Currently, the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) is encouraging Austria to reform its system to be more in line with countries like Finland.
Despite this unique situation, Pragmatic Play’s investment demonstrates a significant step in providing tailored online casino experiences for Austrian players within the existing framework.
