Hollywoodbets has entered into a two-year sponsorship agreement with the Airlink Pumas and all Mpumalanga Rugby Union (MRU) teams, significantly contributing to the development of rugby in the region. This partnership supports professional, amateur, youth, and women’s rugby, while also funding grassroots programs through the Mpumalanga Rugby Trust. As part of the deal, the Hollywoodbets logo will be prominently displayed on the Pumas’ jerseys as an Associate Partner.
MRU CEO Marius van Rensburg described the sponsorship as a transformative initiative that will help attract talent and drive development. He emphasized that the collaboration strengthens Hollywoodbets’ position in South African rugby and aligns with their long-term vision for growth. Devin Heffer from Hollywoodbets praised the Pumas for their resilience and deep engagement with local communities, which played a key role in securing the partnership.
MRU President AG Visser highlighted the impact of the sponsorship in supporting youth and women’s rugby programs. He noted that this backing would ensure the professional team’s success while also providing resources for upcoming players, ultimately helping to cultivate the next generation of rugby talent in Mpumalanga.
The Airlink Pumas will debut their new jerseys in the opening match of the 2025 Home SA Cup against the Phangela SWD Eagles on March 7 at Mbombela Stadium. This partnership reflects Hollywoodbets’ dedication to excellence in rugby and community development, uniting players, fans, and stakeholders in a collective effort to advance the sport.
