The TGCSB reports that online betting apps frequently entice users with promises of easy money and high returns, often leading to financial losses instead. Numerous platforms function without necessary legal approvals, making it impossible for users to make withdrawals. Influencers and deceptive testimonials on social media further mislead individuals into gambling scams. Authorities have noted that these betting apps employ strategies like instant sign-ups and enticing bonuses to keep users engaged, perpetuating a cycle of gambling.
