Mpumalanga Opens Applications for Bookmaker Licenses – Here’s How to Apply

The Mpumalanga Economic Regulator (MER) has officially opened applications for bookmaker licenses, giving betting operators and entrepreneurs a chance to enter the province’s regulated gambling market. 

The Request for Proposals (RFP) has been published. It outlines the application process and requirements for obtaining a license. Interested parties can download the full document from the MER website or collect a physical copy from their offices.

To apply, carefully review the RFP to understand the requirements, and prepare a strong proposal highlighting your business plan and compliance measures. If you have questions about the application process, you must submit them by 29 May 2025. The MER will provide answers and announce the final deadline for proposal submissions.
