Playtech has released the third edition of its e-book focusing on the Latin American gambling industry, providing insights into player trends, concerns, and responsible gaming practices. The report is based on a survey of 2,500 participants from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Colombia, and explores changing player attitudes in light of new regulations in Brazil and Peru.

The findings indicate growing confidence in the industry, with only 25% of respondents expressing concerns about fraud and gambling-related harm. Peru shows the highest engagement, with 92% of participants betting monthly, while 80% support stricter advertising regulations. In Argentina, 77% advocate for tighter controls on betting advertisements, and 88% support stronger age verification measures. In Chile, 63% prefer licensed platforms, although only 15% feel adequately informed about regulatory requirements. Colombia, recognized as the most mature market in the survey, emphasizes the importance of secure payment providers, with 58% of players considering this a crucial factor.

Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech, reiterated the company’s dedication to responsible gambling and the industry’s growth. “As regulations continue to evolve, Latin America offers significant opportunities. Playtech is committed to supporting the sustainable development of the sector while promoting safer gambling practices,” he stated.

Security remains a key concern across all markets, with the legality and registration of platforms being essential for maintaining player trust.
